Bonnie is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer, and has owned her own dog training business, A Better Canine, since 2001. Bonnie began her agility career in 1999, and is now both a local and national competitor. She has earned over 25 MACH titles during her career, and has had top ranked dogs for their breed, with Ghillie ranking top whippet for 8 years. She has been a 3 time finalist at the AKC Agility Invitational, where she has had a top five invitation since it began. Bonnie also teaches family dog classes and has fun doing obedience, tricks and scent work.

Bonnie’s passion for agility has resulted in her striving to be the best at what she does, and she is constantly learning about how to be a more effective handler, passing this knowledge on to her students. Bonnie is one of the few top agility competitors who can also teach & inspire all levels of students. She has helped countless people achieve their agility goals and emphasizes having a solid foundation, as well as maximizing the use of reinforcement for learning and motivation. Her positive outlook and understanding of how both people and dogs learn, along with her ability to maximize the use of positive reinforcement, enables teams to grow and become successful. With a certification in coaching the agility athlete, she specializes in helping handlers and their canine teammates overcome performance obstacles and achieve success in training and competition.
